The pros and cons of this book

This book is very very useful. It helps if you at least are familiar with the KANJI at the back of the book because the answers are heavy on using kanji. however the furigana is by the kanji so you can understand how to pronounce the words. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF THIS BOOK COVERS YOUR GENKI BOOK, THIS BOOK COVERS:

Genki I 2nd edition textbook :The orange book
Genki I 2nd edition workbook
Genki II 2nd edition textbook
Genki II 2nd edition textbook

To understand where the answer section is for your book, you have to be able to read A LITTLE Katakana because the book is purely in Japanese. It's not hard to get a grasp of how the book is broken down. The first section is the Genki I textbook, then Genki I WB, then Genki II textbook and Genki II wb.

Also be weary, like I said before, you have to be familiar with your kanji. The book has mistakes on some kanji. For example, the strokes on the kanji for to speak 話　is not correct. If you copy that kanji to (cheat), it's almost a dead giveaway if your teacher grades harshly on kanji. The first line on 話 is supposed to be a diagonal line instead of a horizontal line. Well it's technically not a mistake, it's just how the typed version of the kanji looks, but you still need to be able to differentiate between the two.

THIS BOOK IS NOT A TEACHER'S REFERENCE MANUAL. IT WILL NOT HAVE ALL THE POWERPOINTS AND EXPLAINATIONS THAT COME WITH THE BOOK. THIS IS JUST AN 80PG BOOK OF PURE ANSWERS. THE TEACHER'S BOOK COSTS LIKE $120-$200 AND IS BLUE (I THINK. IT'S ON AMAZON)

Almost Perfect!

I enjoy using Genki to study the Japanese language and decided to buy the answer key to feel confident in my answers. I use this with both Genki 1 (second edition) and Genki 1 workbook.

Beware! This answer key is ONLY IN JAPANESE; therefore, my heart almost stopped when I opened this book expecting to see "Answer...". It took time for me to search for the section that contained the answers to questions in the workbook vs. textbook. Once your able to find the specific section you are working on, it's fairly easy to annotate what page you need to reference.

What's great about this book is that it contains answers to the ENTIRE Genki series (meaning answers to Genki 1&2 workbook and textbook).

As stated earlier, if the navigation was just a little bit easier to manage, it would easily have gained 5 stars.

Great, but will take some deciphering.

For those that are buying this to correct your own work in the Genki textbooks and workbooks:

This is great it has answers for all four books and even has examples of acceptable work for the exercises that ask the reader to talk about themselves. However it is entirely in Japanese. So it will take a little work to figure out what answers are meant for which exercise. It also, doesn't break up the books. All the grammar answers for every chapter from the two books combined will be in one section, while the Read/Writing exercises will be in a separate section, etc. These can be pretty easily deciphered if you have your text book next to you though.

this book is *very* good!

I saw this book sitting on the shelf of the new age section at a bookstore and was immediately drawn to it. I'd never heard of such a theory but the description of the book seemed interesting.
I must say that after reading it from cover to cover in just one day, I am a believer that the earth really may be hollow and there is actually alot of evidence to sustain this.
Things such as writings from the earliest civilations, the aurora borealis, UFOs, giants, fairies, holes at the poles, and all kinds phenomenon, are covered in this book - not to mention, the idea that the earth's interior is solid is only a theory and has never actually been proven.
Highley reccommend!

Close, but way off...

There are holes at the north and south poles. Just because everyone is saying they're a 100 miles across, you'll probably never believe it, but there is one right on the location of bentley's subglacial trench in Antarctica. Believe it or not, there are much stranger things. In this book, there is one supposed photo taken by apollo showing an opening, but it is really a photo of Olympus mons of mars. It might be a mistake on his part (and not intentional) but either way, it makes the idea of a hole look dumb. I even think Olympus mons might be a hole and not a volcano. The mist blocks the entrance. Another thing is, this guy talks about Cyrus Teed and his inverted planet theory. (that we live inside and the earth is concave) He goes out of his way to make Teed look crazy. At the time I read this book, I was only beginning to research this stuff. Thank the Lord that I even heard the truth before I died. The planet is concave. Teed was right and the whole world laughed him to scorn in 1905. Not only is Teed right, but also the north and south poles are gateways to another planet. That is all you need to know. Do not buy this book, it is the same lies that are on the net.

Craig Titus was arrested in 2005 and sentenced in 2008. So what happened in the years leading up to the final court date? Swift Injustice fills in the blanks by providing details about the tragic events that unfolded in December of 2005 to the plea deal and sentence for Second Degree Murder in 2008. In the end, the prosecutor built his political campaign around the case, and the judge walked away with a court television show. The Judge's television show was called Swift Justice. Unfortunately for Craig Titus, justice was neither swift nor just; it was Swift Injustice.

I have been waiting for the release of this book ...

I have been waiting for the release of this book since it was first announced. I assumed there was more to the death of Melissa James than the public reports had revealed. When the book finally arrived I started reading it immediately. I struggled to continue reading the book after the 67 page introduction where the author strongly criticized the police and prosecutors bias without acknowledging her own. I forced myself to complete 5 chapters (I did not finish the book) but could no longer continue to read the repetitive, excessively detail-driven, Pro-Titus content.

A must read for those who want to read an unbiased opinion and actual facts of the unfortunate events of that day. I had been waiting for this book to come out and when it did, was definitely not a disappointment. Made for great reading. The author's detail of accounts and facts from her research left me not wanting to put the book down! The title is unquestionably fitting.

I cant put it down. This book states the facts. It does not appear to be one sided. Everything is backed up by public records and court documentation. This author exposes the crooked judicial system and does not sugar coat anything in Craig Titus's life. Its a must read and a real eye opener. I can not believe what the justice system gets away with.

About the Author
Ann Purcell has been a full-time teacher of Transcendental Meditation since 1973, teaching Transcendental Meditation and advanced courses around the world. She has worked on curricula and course development for universities and continuing education programs. She has a B.SCI (Bachelor of the Science of Creative Intelligence) and an M.SCI from Maharishi European Research University, Seelisberg, Switzerland. She received her PhD in Supreme Political Science from Maharishi University of World Peace, Vlodrop, Netherlands. She is the author of Tender Flower of Heaven, a collection of 120 poems, and also writes for the Huffington Post.

Very good theory and philosophy here and it was relaxing to read some of this... but I realized very quickly that this is a sales pitch for a very expensive lesson on the techniques.

Never been so disappointed in a purchase. I actually returned it after within the first several pages, I learned that the author had no intention of sharing technique, but that it was just a ploy to get us to take the class that is about $1000.00. What a joke

Thought-provoking and Inspiring Book Describing Experiences of Higher States of Consciousness

I loved this book. It's structured as part memoir/personal essay; part research on what well-known people have to say about meditation and consciousness; part poetry describing experiences of creativity and higher states of consciousness; and part description of personal experiences of Transcendental Meditation.
I've read quite a few books on TM. This book takes quite an original approach to the subject. It focuses on describing personal experiences of higher states of consciousness from many different angles.
The author has done extensive research into what well-known thinkers have said about higher states of consciousness. Many beautiful quotes from Emily Dickinson, Thoreau, Eugene Ionesco, Lao Tzu, and others.
The book also includes the most recent information in the field of neuroscience and brain research on higher states of consciousness.
A musician and poet, the author devotes several chapters to artistic creativity—particularly music and writing—as the expression of higher states of consciousness. Anyone interested in the arts and creativity will find valuable insights here.
Women's Liberation and the "sacred" or "divine feminine" are the focus of several chapters which study the unique role women play in raising society to higher levels of evolution.
The author is deeply steeped in experiences of higher states of consciousness and writes about the development of consciousness in a way that is highly understandable. I turn to this book often for inspiration. I highly recommend this book for anyone. I think anyone who reads this book will come away feeling inspired and uplifted.

This person knows his craft, read the book, buy it if you can.

A seminal work on the greatest architect of the past two centuries, bar none. While I know that I sound partisan, or chauvinistic or whatever, I DON't CARE. Frank Lloyd Wright is one of the many gifts the USA have given to civilization and one of its shiniest. HR Hitchcock was (or is?) one of Wright's best critics. Highly recommended: essential for those who WANT to KNOW, as well as for those who do

The Essential Book for the Prairie Years

H R H 's book is the essential guide to Wright's formative years as he developed and modified his architectural idiom in Chicagoland and further a field. It represents a chronological overview of Wright's output in what has come to be known as the Prairie Style, when the Oak Park studio was gracing the world with innovative designs that still seem ahead of their time.

Hitchcock was an admirer of Wright and he brought out this book at a time when Wright's star was enjoying a second advent. Even so Wrights' 1940s-1950s resurgence is spottily represented in this volume; so, do not expect to find many of the later works.

But don't let that bother you. Take time to read and enjoy what is still the best guide to this portion of Wright's oeuvre.

One caveat. The book is in black and white, so you will want to find more recent volumes of color photographs to help expand your appreciation of Wright's aesthetic. He had an impeccable gift for tonality and this cannot be communicated in black and white.

GOOD REVIEW

I felt this was an interesting review of Wright's transition from Adler & Sullivan, the Prarie homes through the Usonian years. It is necessary to supplement this book with those which describe his life and philosphies in more detail to get the most out of "In The Nature of Materials." This is mostly a chronological review of how his home and commercial designs, concepts and use of materials matured over his working life. The second half of the book features photo examples of each step, and these are amply referred to by number in the text so you can easily refer to them. I enjoyed this book a great deal and recommend it for those who want more than just a Wright picture book.
